The ResoCore RC-4 Desktop Studio Monitor is designed for music producers, podcasters, and content creators who operate in smaller studio environments where space is at a premium but accuracy cannot be compromised. This compact two-way active monitor delivers the flat, uncolored frequency response and dynamic resolution that professional audio work demands.
The 4-inch woofer with Kevlar-reinforced polypropylene cone provides exceptional stiffness-to-mass ratio, enabling fast, accurate transient response and tight bass reproduction down to 58Hz. While not as deep as larger monitors, the RC-4’s bass extension is sufficient for most production tasks, and pairing with a studio subwoofer is straightforward using the provided high-pass crossover output. The 0.75-inch silk dome tweeter delivers smooth, detailed high-frequency reproduction from 5kHz to 22kHz without brightness or harshness.
The bi-amplified power system, using 35-watt and 15-watt Class AB amplifiers for the woofer and tweeter respectively, is specifically matched to the driver characteristics for optimal performance. Linear-phase digital crossover processing ensures time-coherent reproduction across the frequency range, contributing to precise stereo imaging and depth. An internal limiter prevents clipping damage without audible compression during normal use.
The rear panel provides balanced XLR and TRS inputs as well as unbalanced RCA, accommodating professional and consumer audio sources. High-frequency and low-frequency trim switches allow +/- 2dB adjustment for room and placement compensation. An anti-vibration base pad is included to decouple the monitor from the desk surface. Sold individually, buy as a pair for stereo production.
