The MTM driver layout, also known as the D’Appolito configuration, places the 1-inch silk dome tweeter between two 5.25-inch mid-woofer drivers. This arrangement provides vertically symmetric dispersion that minimizes lobing effects at the crossover frequency, resulting in consistent, accurate sound across a wide vertical listening window. This makes the CP-6 particularly valuable in home theater configurations where viewers sit at different distances from the screen.

Each 5.25-inch mid-woofer features a woven glass fiber cone with a rubber surround and heavy-duty ferrite magnet assembly, providing clean, detailed midrange reproduction with controlled, tight bass. The silk dome tweeter with its ferrofluid-cooled voice coil delivers the essential consonant clarity that distinguishes intelligible dialogue from muddied speech. The precision-designed crossover at 2.2kHz ensures seamless integration between the drivers.

The cabinet is designed for horizontal placement below or above a television, with rounded side edges that reduce diffraction and a front baffle angled to optimize dispersion toward the primary listening position. Keyhole mounting slots on the rear panel allow wall mounting in line with the television. Gold-plated binding posts accept all standard speaker wire termination types.
